I’ve been told that W3schools is bad for your health, and therefore I am wondering why codecademy would reference them. w3fools.comDoes people here agree with the criticism?

I will answer though I am tempted not too, because you may not be a troll.w3schools is a great website, and does it’s purpose. BUT it’s purpose isn’t to teach you how to code (as can be falsely understood from it’s name), but to provide a complete “dictionary” for web developing languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and others. If you need to learn how to create web pages use Codecademy or something similar. If you see some HTML, CSS or JavaScript tags or phrases you don’t recognize, go to w3schools to look them up. Can be a great help.

You are not the only one. Some developer friends also suggest me to read W3school site carefully.Think before write. See if it is a “good” code.
I would agree. W3school has its own problem (You can search the articles, not only w3fools.com )
However, in terms of fast and efficient, is there any site better than it?NO. Even I don’t see W3fool provides better solution.
W3school is still the best website to search and scan “quickly”.
I would say, to learn, go to CodeCademy and read Cookbook, Dummies, Firsthead, etc.To re-fresh your memory WHEN you are coding, google search is your friend!(Usually w3chool is on top of the results)
–Happy learning :)
