Manufacturers description

The Zero G Peak Carbon is an extremely light and efficient touring boot with the power and downhill performance you've come to know and expect from a Tecnica boot. With experience from the alpine world, the Zero G Peak uses a semi-overlapping shell design that wraps the foot better, increasing comfort and significantly improving performance.

In addition, the shell and inner shoe of the CAS Light provide an anatomical fit directly from the factory and enable a small adaptation in the form of punching or grinding. A bidirectional carbon fiber plate under the foot increases torsional stiffness and provides more power transfer to the ski. The efficient T-Hike mechanism provides a full 75-degree range of motion.

C.A.S. Customization Shell
The shell has an anatomical shape that mimics the shape of the foot. The notches on the shell provide less surface tension and facilitate heating before adaptation. The material maintains the changed shape better and longer.
Shell Features:
- Anatomical and precise shape
- Simplified and fast thermoforming
- Simplified customization

Scaling:
- Punching (increased volume): The polyether material can be heated and punched in problem areas?
- Sanding (increased volume): the material is sandable in problem areas

C.A.S. Light Liner
Zero G Peak inner shoes are anatomically pre-shaped to provide the best fit straight from the factory. The double density with C.A.S. microcell around the heel area provides extra heel support. If necessary, the material can be sanded and thermoformed to provide a personal fit. The newly developed flex structure on the back of the lining improves the ride characteristics. The inner shoe also features Recco reflector technology for increased safety in avalanche situations. The waterproof membrane breathes and keeps feet warm and dry during long sessions.

Carbon Reinforced Sole
The sole is reinforced with carbon fiber, which has made it 10% torsionally stiffer compared to comparable boots. The technology has been tested by the Engineering Department of the University of Padova.

Carbon Fiber Cuff
The Zero G Peak Carbon has a carbon fiber cuff that provides solid yet progressive flex when skiing downhill. Softer flaps on the front ensure that the cuff hugs the leg perfectly.

Wrapping Shell Construction
In keeping with Tecnica's high-performance overlapping boot construction, the Zero G Peak combines the shell technology of alpine boots with the walkability of a touring boot. When the cable system buckle is tightened, the foot is firmly encased for uncompromising performance.

T-Hike Mechanism
The T-Hike is a lighter version of the Zero G Tour Double Blocking Mechanism and provides a strong, progressive flex and maximum lateral power transfer. The shell is connected to the cuff at two separate points and guarantees optimal mobility in the walking position. In addition, the spoiler gives solidity to the boot when skiing downhill.

Power Lock Strap
The Power Lock Strap provides extra control and more precise power transfer. The hook that attaches the strap optimizes the function and the strap therefore does not have to be fully opened.

Spoiler With Forward Lean Adjustment
The forward slope can be adjusted with the wedge spoiler to obtain the desired slope, whether for touring or downhill skiing. The Zero G Peak has a 13° forward lean position and the spoiler provides an additional +2° forward lean. The ramp angle is 3.5°.

Waterproof Gaiter
The waterproof damask fabric protects against moisture getting into the boots. The elastic top contributes to easy putting on and taking off.

Quick-Step-In Inserts
Certified Inserts make it easier to get into all low-tech bindings. They are placed as far back as possible to improve walking function.

Vibram
Tecnica works with soles from Vibram, which developed a dual-density rubber compound. Yellow rubber in areas that are in direct contact with the binding provides higher power transfer when skiing. Black rubber has a softer density that provides increased grip and safety when walking and climbing
