Kind of a recipe on request here because a lot of you asked for simple protein powder dessert recipes.

Now that I think of it I actually put down a protein powder chocolate sauce on my list a while ago, but never really got around to it. So I guess I should thank you all for the motivation here?

I’ve had this sauce with waffles and sweet potato fries and even just plain – a real good healthy chocolate sauce recipe!

Ingredients for the Best Protein Chocolate Sauce

This high protein chocolate sauce is actually made with just 3 ingredients – and water, but we don’t count that. No sugar, no butter, no buttercream, no condensed milk needed!

  • Chocolate Protein Powder – this is what replaces the sugar here. I used Quest Nutrition whey-casein protein powder.
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder or Cacao Powder
  • Almond Butter
  • Water

This chocolate sauce already has no milk and no condensed milk, so it’s a great dairy free recipe and can easily be made Vegan. To make this homemade chocolate sauce recipe Vegan, use a plant based protein powder.

Other than being simple in ingredients, this protein powder chocolate sayce recipe is so easy it really does make the best recipe out there!

All you need to do is:

  1. Whisk together all the ingredients in a bowl:
    chocolate protein powder, cocoa powder, almond butter and water.

  • 6 Tbsp Water, 90ml
